What Is Sexy?

This past weekend, Mom and I went to see 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones'. It was an amazing movie. Action, Adventure, Nephilim, Werewolves, Vampires and Romance.

And Jamie Christian Bower who plays 'Jace'.

Oh. Em. Gee.

 

This guy is so hot. 

I have seen him before and never really given him a second thought. Yes, he's handsome just looking at him, obviously. But in this movie, playing this character, he is undeniably hot.

The whole rebel with a heart of gold. Smartass who pretends he doesn't care but he actually cares so much. Cocky and vulnerable. And the way he looks at Clary.

Seriously.

Just the way he looks at her is so damn sexy. That alone makes him off the charts. (Move over Edward because Jace nails it.)

This got me thinking as to 'what is sexy?' What is it really?

Some people would say that dark hair is sexy. Or maybe blond hair. Some people would say that nice legs are sexy or a nice smile. Or some people would say that beautiful eyes or a great sense of humor is sexy. Or some people say intelligence is very sexy.

Know what I think?

I think all of these things are sexy. But I also think being sexy is more than how you look. It's how you carry yourself, things you say and what you do.

I think if you have self-confidence and are comfortable with yourself THAT is damn sexy. I think if you are a good father or a good mother THAT is super sexy. If you have a sense of humor, you are most CERTAINLY sexy. If you are intelligent and not afraid to show it, THAT is super sexy. Being kind and treating people with respect is TERRIBLY sexy.

Being sexy isn't just how you look, it's everything else that makes up you and who you are. And the good news is that there are ALL different types of sexy because there are all different types of people.

However guys, I would master the way Jace looks at Clary in 'The Mortal Instruments' just to make sure you have sexy nailed.
